Safe and Inclusive Cities: Reducing urban violence, poverty, and inequalities

Canada’s International Development Research Centre (IDRC) is launching a call for proposals as part of the Safe and Inclusive Cities
research initiative

In partnership with the United Kingdom’s Department for International Development, this jointly funded initiative aims to build an evidence base on the connections between urban violence, poverty, and inequalities. It also seeks to identify the most effective strategies for addressing these challenges.

Grants of up to CA$500,000 will be awarded to carry out cutting-edge research in cities across Latin America and the Caribbean, sub-Saharan Africa, and South Asia.

El Centro Internacional de Investigaciones para el Desarrollo (IDRC) de Canadá anuncia el lanzamiento de una convocatoria de propuestas en el marco de la iniciativa de investigación Ciudades Seguras e Inclusivas. En asociación con el Departamento para el Desarrollo Internacional del Reino Unido, esta iniciativa cofinanciada apunta a generar una base de evidencia sobre las conexiones entre la violencia urbana, la pobreza y las desigualdades. También procura identificar las estrategias más eficaces para abordar estos desafíos.

 

Se adjudicarán becas de hasta CA$500 000 para llevar a cabo investigación de avanzada en ciudades de América Latina y el Caribe, África subsahariana y Asia del sur.

 

Se recomienda a los postulantes que antes de preparar su solicitud consulten el estudio de referencia Ciudades Seguras e Inclusivas.
